Remembering 9/11/2001...

I will never forget where I was that day. I was a senior in high school sitting in my Fashion Careers class. My teacher rolled in a television and we all watched in disbelief after the first plane struck the World Trade Towers, then a second, then the other third plane hitting the Pentagon, and finally a fourth plane crashing prior to hitting the White House.

My heart broke then and still breaks today. Tragedy in this life is painful. It doesn't make sense when innocent lives are lost and loved ones are hurt forever. We remind ourselves today, and we should everyday, that we cannot take a moment for granted. This life is unpredictable.

Fortunately, there is more than just this life! There is a perfect place Jesus invites us to go... for eternity. No more tears, no more pain. That is where my hope is. Jesus calls us to draw near to Him, and draw others near to Him too. Lets shine His hope into the lives of the hopeless.

Remembering and praying for those still suffering from the horrific events of 9/11/2001. Praying for all the people in the world today facing trials in life that are horrific and hopeless. There is hope in Jesus!

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah (Psalm 46)
